Showcasing the next generation of creative talent

DECODED has partnered with Publicis UK and a number of other organisations committed to supporting Black Art & Creativity. The publication will include an anthology featuring a wide selection of visual artists and illustrators. We will also be launching exhibitions, an educational outreach programme, a virtual gallery, and a digital platform to showcase the best Black Creative Talent.

Activism through Art

Disrupt Space is an Arts agency in the UK established to represent emerging Black visual artists. It was founded in 2019 by Paul Reid, the former Director of Black Cultural Archives and current Head of the International Slavery Museum. Inspired by Black community activism, Disrupt Space works with artists that challenge the mainstream and produce art that has the energy to empower, transform, and affect change.

A powerful partnership

We have partnered with Disrupt Space to feature artwork from their artists within the DECODED graphic novel as part of an anthology of full page prints. We are also planning exhibitions and an educational outreach programme in the UK, US & Asia. With the support of Publicis Groupe, we are also working on a digital platform to showcase a new generation of Black artists, illustrators & digital creators whose work deserves a wider audience.

ISE-DA

We have also established a partnership with ISE-DA, a US based platform focused on supporting international Black contemporary art by creating a connected community of young Black people who are interested, invested and informed about art across the Diaspora.

Beyond this, DECODED will include a wide array of established and emerging artists from across the globe, showcasing the best of Black Creative Talent and creating a truly unique publication and digital platform.
